Gotham FC breaks club ticket sales record with more than 10,000 sold and will open the upper bowl for the first time for the June 4 match against San Diego Wave FC.
NJ/NY Gotham FC has hit a number of milestones during the 2023 National Women’s Soccer League season. The club, which currently sits atop the NWSL standings, announced Tuesday that it has hit yet a another milestone, surpassing a ticket-sales record with more than 10,000 sold for Gotham FC’s Pride Night match. Gotham will take on San Diego Wave FC on June 4 at 5:30PM EST at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey.
As Gotham FC is tracking to fill the entire 11,000-seat lower bowl, the club has officially opened additional inventory in the upper bowl for the first time in team history.
“We are excited to see the momentum around our June 4 match against the San Diego Wave, as we prepare for a Pride Night celebration and the in-stadium matchup of World Cup stars across both teams,” said Gotham FC Acting Club President Nan Vogel. “In this record-breaking moment for the club, we look forward to giving our fans a matchday to remember.”
Gotham FC’s growing ticket sales for the June 4 match have surpassed the club’s previous all-time record of 9,500 tickets sold, which was set when Gotham FC faced OL Reign on August 18, 2019.
Following their June 4th match, the next Gotham regular season home game will be held on June 25 where the club will face the Chicago Red Stars. Gotham will host a special FIFA Women’s World Cup sendoff match and a celebration of Juneteenth.
