Women’s sports is having a moment. To be honest, women’s sports has been having a moment for a while now. Every year, the profiles of women’s leagues around the world have continued to grow. More and more, we’ve seen increasing coverage of the biggest teams and the biggest competitions. If you followed the WNBA and NWSL coverage on Nets Republic, you know we were there for it all.
The ethos of Nets Republic wasn’t just covering the big moments. It was being there all the moments. From the local athletes making names for themselves to lower league teams making their mark on history, Nets Republic was there. This off-season, we realized something. While we were able to grow the attention of women’s sports under the Nets Republic umbrella, our women’s sports community deserved a destination of their own: a site dedicated to local women’s sports of all kinds, where we could celebrate our athletes, highlight their achievements, and build something as unique and special as the teams and players we cover.
